“Hot Corners” is a feature on your Mac that helps you access certain elements by moving your mouse to any of the four corners of your screen.

Let’s say you want a quick access to the Dashboard as an overlay.

By assigning this action to a corner of your screen, you can quickly activate it any time you need to.

Simply move your mouse (or pointer) to the relevant corner then the Dashboard will come up!

How to assign actions to Hot Corners:

  1. Go to the black Apple on the top left corner of your screen
  2. Click System Preferences > Mission Control
  3. Click the Hot Corners button
  4. Choose which action should occur when you move your mouse to any of the 4 corners of your Mac
  5. Test it and enjoy it!

  • Mission Control
  • Application
  • Desktop
  • Dashboard
  • Notification Centre
